The Safety and Security of our children is a priority for all of us at Queens’ College Indore. Children are never left unattended and didis and teachers are on duty to ensure that children board and disembark from the school vehicles. Transport registers document the attendance both in the morning and in the evenings. Photo ID cards are issued to the parent/guardian and these need to be produced when the child is handed over at the pickup point each day. Bus log books are maintained and are updated on a daily basis. In Elementary and Junior School, the teacher escorts the children to ensure that the child boards the right bus.
We have an Infirmary with a full-time Nurse who is equipped to handle First Aid small cuts and bruises. Although no internal medicine will be administered by the School Nurse, in case of a need she will connect with the Parent to seek permission for the same. In case of an emergency, Parents are informed immediately and the child along with the Nurse will be rushed to the Hospital which the school has tied up with for required attention and action. Parent’s emergency contact number is kept as a part of school records.
Taking the child home mid-way during school hours is not a practice entertained by the school. The only occasions when this is allowed is in case of a tragedy in the family or if the child is sick himself/herself. However, the school will consider any other reason based on its gravity and urgency. This permission will be granted at the sole discretion of the Principal and the child is allowed to go ONLY with the parents or a person with proper authorization from the parents.

There are regular Parent Teacher Meetings held in school. While formal report cards are given twice a year, a system of non-reporting Parent Teacher Meets is also followed. Specific days are also assigned for each class where parents can walk-in to meet the teachers with prior appointment.
The school encourages involvement of parents. The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) which will be formed by the end of the first year will meet periodically to discuss the infrastructural and academic issues of the school. Suggestions are taken seriously and solutions incorporated.
