77th Independence Day celebration at Queens’ College Indore reflects the unwavering spirit of our students and staff in honour of those who fought relentlessly for our nation’s freedom.

The event held at the college campus was graced by the presence of Lt. Col. Shreeshma Suresh as the chief guest, along with Directors , Members of Management, Principal Ms.
Geetha Somasekharan and Academic Director Ms. Smita Rathore.

The celebration commenced with the traditional flag hoisting ceremony, symbolising the nation’s freedom. The Indian tricolour soared high, evoking a sense of pride and patriotism among the attendees.

Several students delivered impactful speeches on various aspects of independence, showcasing their deep understanding of the nation’s history and values.

Ishita Hardia, the head girl of Queens’ College, delivered an inspiring speech on the true meaning of independence.

Kanishka Gaikwad expressed her gratitude towards the brave freedom fighters in her Hindi speech, highlighting their sacrifices and calling for collective appreciation and remembrance.

Kamakshi Kumar, through her passionate Hindi speech, shed light on the progress our nation has made since attaining independence.

Anushka Gaur, in her engaging speech, focused on making India a global leader. She encouraged students to embrace innovation, strive for excellence, and contribute to India’s growth on an international level.

Kratika Kanungo highlighted the crucial role of youth in her speech. She urged her fellow students to be responsible citizens and actively participate in nation-building.

Gracy Patidar spoke about the values that can be imbibed from freedom fighters. She emphasized the need to uphold values like courage, sacrifice, and perseverance and apply them to our daily lives.

The celebration also witnessed captivating performances by talented students, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of India.

Anushka Agrawal delivered a mesmerizing self-composed poem in Hindi, evoking strong emotions and patriotism among the audience.

A classical dance performance enthralled the attendees, showcasing the grace and beauty of Indian classical dance forms.

A patriotic theme orchestra resonated with the spirit of patriotism, instilling a sense of pride in everyone’s hearts.

The gondhal dance, a traditional folk dance, added a vibrant and energetic touch to the celebration, leaving the audience enthralled.

A special dance performance by primary students, portraying the diversity and unity of India, brought smiles to everyone’s face.

A group discussion was organized on the topic of “Ikigai” – a Japanese concept that represents the reason for one’s existence. Students engaged in meaningful discussions about finding their purpose, aligning their passions with societal needs, and contributing to the nation’s progress.
