Queens’ College Students Embark on a Cultural Odyssey in Mandu
From September 30 to October 01, 2023, an entourage of 163 Queens’ College students ranging from Class VI to XII, accompanied by eight teachers, embarked on an enlightening educational voyage to the historical city of Mandu.
Their itinerary featured iconic sites such as Rani Roopmati’s Pavilion, Jami Masjid, Hoshang Shah’s Tomb, Jahaz Mahal, Hindola Mahal, and Baz Bahadur’s Palace, with a captivating Light and Sound Show at Jahaz Mahal.These architectural marvels, characterized by their unique fusion of Hindu and Mughal influences, left an indelible mark on the students’ cultural consciousness. On day two, students visited ‘Echo Point’ and ‘The Neelkanth Temple,’ followed by a quiz about the monuments conducted by Ms. Mahima Saxena and Ms. Aarti Kumawat.
In summation, this educational sojourn to Mandu afforded students from Queens’ College an immersive encounter with the cultural heritage of the region. Parents expressed their gratitude for the school’s management, Principal, Coordinators, and staff for orchestrating a meticulously coordinated trip that enriched their children’s understanding of history and culture.
